Driving Directions to Vail
A word of caution, once you've discovered
Vail, a dramatic and sudden change in your priorities may occur.
This is the road map to magic.
From Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport
- Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to
Highway 6.
- Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading
east. Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east.
- Proceed on I-70 east until you reach the second
Vail exit, Vail Village #176.
- As you arrive at the roundabout, take the
second exit, heading directly toward Vail Mountain.
- As you continue, you will cross the Gore Creek
Bridge, and the road will arc to the left. The entrance gate to
The Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side.
From Denver International Airport or Any
Points East of Vail
- Take I-70 west until you reach the second Vail exit, Vail Village
#176.
- Go around the roundabout, under I-70, and then straight through
the second roundabout, heading directly toward Vail Mountain.
- As you continue, you will cross the Gore Creek Bridge, and
the road will arc to the left. The entrance gate to The
Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side.
From the Colorado Springs Airport (Airport
Code COS)
- Take I-25 North to C-470 Westbound.
- C-470 will merge into I-70 Westbound.
- Take I-70 west until you reach the second Vail
exit, Vail Village #176.
- Go around the roundabout, under I-70, and then
straight through the second roundabout, heading directly
toward Vail Mountain.
- As you continue, you will cross the Gore Creek
Bridge, and the road will arc to the left. The entrance
gate to The Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side.
Train Travel to Vail
If travel by train is your preference,
Amtrak services run from the east and west coasts both to Denver and
through the stunning Glenwood Canyon to historic Glenwood Springs — just
40 miles away from the town of Vail, Colorado.
In-Town Transportation
In conjunction with the town of Vail, Colorado,
the Vail Ski Resort & the Vail Valley the transportation is
fantastic. The Vail Transportation system serves Vail and the outer
lying areas. Whether you're going for a morning powder run or heading
out for dinner, the Vail transportation system is excellent.
